LED Driver - which brand?

Hi,

I am looking for LED driver transformer to change 240V AC to 12V DC for 5W SMD LED MR16.

ebay selling those thing with ~ £3.70 each by UK supplier. But I wonder if anyone one know which brand is better? Or is there any specialist online retailer?

How many LED bulbs will you be driving in total?

My reason for asking is that these cheap converters are all built to minimum cost in the far east and can be quite unreliable (which is a pain if they are installed in a location which is difficult to access).

For this reason, if you are driving a lot of MR16 bulbs it may be worth using a single good quality 12V power supply to feed all of them in parallel, which is what I did.

If you have more than half a dozen bulbs to drive it may be cheaper too.

This may not be applicable in your case, but worth considering.

My current MR16 set up of halogen bulb is one transformer for each bulb.
I don't intend to rewire as they are boxed. What I want to do is directly replace existing transformers (6 of them)
