which brand of decking stain

hi

looking to re-stain our decking. was stained in drark green by previous owners and am looking to do something similar to avoid doing up all the handposts which are fine.

am going to try to get the stain off with 140 bar pressure washer, hopefully it will work.

what brand of stain is good? heard both good and bad stories about cuprinol and ronseal. Liberon were quite good but they dont do green coloured stain/oil.

any thoughts and any other tips would be most welcome.....

No Nonsense decking oil is very good. It's relatively cheap from Screwfix (half the price of the major brands) and they do coloured versions of the oil. It's not a stain but is decking oil so probably better for your decking than a pure stain.

I re-oiled my decking just over a month ago and it looks fabulous. It just needed a single coat after I had pressure washed it and let it dry for a couple of days.

Thanks,. shame they dont do a green colour! i wish i could change the colour to something like oak or natural finish but for that i need to be 100% sure that i can take every last bit of green stain off the plants, especially on handposts and groves in planks.
