Hi can any one advise please my wife and i are going on holiday and taking our 6 year old grandson with us but it seems to be a problem to include him on the insurance and as far as i've been told he cannot have an individual policy of his own because of his age.

Hi, I took my grand-daughter on holiday last year. She was 12. I couldn't have her included on my policy, and most insurers wouldn't accept her on her own because of her age. In the end Lloyds TSB insured her, but her Mother had to take out the policy on her behalf and confirm in writing to the insurer that she had given permission for her daughter to travel with me.
Hope this helpsI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
thanks for the advice surprised the insurance companies i spoke to didn't tell me that i will need to get my daughter to organise although no doubt it will be me who has to pay as usual:T0
