Bless T I doubt your hair is that bad. I've been lucky DD has coloured mine - and my cutting has worked out reasonably okay. Have you managed to get an appointment?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Savings. Yes, I have an appointment for next Saturday. I note that I didn't ask about social distancing and sanitation etc. Perhaps I should...
I cashed in £41.18 on Prolific today. Really pleased as I earned this in 1 month. But, as I said, it is hard because you have to stay chained to the laptop hoping you get a study that isn't full before you spot it.
Nothing special happening at the moment. Rounding small change in my accounts to help bring down the visa bill. Small steps. Once this is done, I can focus the visa payments towards the car loan. It will take a while to do this, but I am walking in the right direction.
Nothing is selling on ebay at the moment, but a pair of shoes I sold arrived damaged and I had to give the buyer their money back. Trying to claim on the courier insurance, but not expecting much success.

Well done on the survey money
Good luck with the shoe claim - i do like the money from selling things - as well as things being given a new lease of life but unfortunately there are these down sides to on-line sales too.1st May 2025

Yes I agree Stripey, one thing out of 50 goes wrong, then count your blessings. The shoes were only £10. But the money would definitely have been better in my pocket. The insurance says that they are looking for the courier to say that they damaged the package before they pay out. What a total waste of time. Why would the courier service admit to that? What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Most salons our way are having fairly strict criteria for staff and clients, face masks, visors. I think most are following rules of opening, looking at FB posts and insta. I went for a consultation at an aesthetics place yesterday, filled in umpteen forms, some about covid and had a temperature check.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20222

Sorry to hear that the ebay parcel didn't go to plan. Good luck with the haircut. Mine is booked for August as I had only just cut mine again when they re-opened.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well, blow me over! The insurance have agreed to pay me out! I am so shocked. Good things do come to those who wait!
Hi MFD, hope you are ok? Unfortunately, my salon doesn't appear to have much of an online presence and still says it's temporarily closed. I am going to have to ring at some point and ask the question - am I going to be safe and well in your establishment? And how are you going to ensure it? Things we would never have needed to ask pre Covid.
I hope your salon is filling you with confidence Savings. But they have a bit of time to get their act together before your appointment.
I spoke too soon and sold another 2 items on ebay just today for £20.00 plus postage, and managed to earn another £5.34 since cashing in my £41.18 on prolific. I clearly spend too much time online.
I wouldn't say that money saving is going great, but all the bits mean I don't have to spend out of my personal account.
Having a few issues with Moneybox and transferring the last of my pensions. They are coming out with rubbish about they can't do it because they can't do anything with paper transfers at the moment. I had to tell them my pension company uses Origo. Losing trust in this lot. If they don't turn this round, I may move everything out to another platform. I am certain Moneybox isn't the only one.
Tomorrow is Car Loan payment day, where I round up the payment to the whole £. Small steps but over time, they will make a difference.

Just sold another pair of shoes. Got pence for them, but as I had already sold the dress and the bag, I couldn't see the point in holding out for more. Every little helps so they say.
Moneybox say there is a problem with my pension provider in that the pension provider say there is no exit fee and then mid transfer, they find there is. So they have started doing everything with that particular provider in writing so there is a paper trail. Based on that, I am ok with their delay.
Hi Stripey, moneybox is just a online provider that allows you to save and invest. I save by sending a small amount of money to them on a weekly basis and then they round up my spending from my bank account and sweep it into my very tiny investment pot. Hopefully, with years of investing like this when I come closer to retirement age, i may have a nice little nest egg waiting for me. Additionally, they help by taking all those small pensions you have paid into over the years of changing jobs and put them all into one place where they can grow together. - Together, strong! The only ones they won't take are defined benefit pensions; which is why I am taking this now and all the others are still growing for when I get to retirement age - when I am 67; and the pension I am currently paying into with my employer.
Prolific says that I am already at £12.84 since I cashed in my £41, so at this rate, I would be mad to stop. I am now at £15.20 with OnePoll. Another £15 to go before I can get any money out.
Right, I need to find something else to list on ebay now I have sold the shoes. One out, one in.What I do not give, you must never take by force.
