    New week, new challenges!  Welcome to the new reality.  But some things never change.  Today, I looked back at my outgoings book and exactly 10 years ago, my overall debt was £74,000, made up of £53,000 mortgage, £8,700 to a visa card and a £12,300 bank loan.  Today,  my overall debt as above is  £82,400.

    Now, I could get wildly depressed about this and beat myself up over the fact I have not achieved in 10 years.  Or, I can count my blessings and see what improvements I have made over that period which have allowed me to be in a relatively good position right now, with only an £8,400 increase in borrowing.

    If ever anything would give me the impetus to make a difference in paying down my mortgage, this is surely it.  I absolutely WILL pay this mortgage off before my 60th birthday, thus giving me 7 years of mortgage free living before retirement.  The starting point is surviving the contagion.

    At least you have a plan and are working it. I agree the first thing is to survive and get through this. Hope you get to take your camper van out on the road again sometime soon.

    Always good to start the day with a positive. A friend has just thanked me for my FB post about getting compost and other deliveries yesterday. She is thrilled as she is now having a delivery on Friday!

    This months mortgage payment made.  Not expecting to be able to take any other payment as I have had to pull money out of my Premium Bonds to pay for the drive. Should have been able to cover its cost with the money due back from my winter holiday from Crystal TUI, but I am still waiting for payment.  At least they aren't offering a voucher, but when the money will come through I don't know.  When it does arrive,I will re-buy my PB's.

    Anyway, plenty of NSD's so in theory, I should have a bit of money spare, but this is going towards the drive.
