It has happened!  Today, this momentous day should go down in the annals of history!  Today marks the end of the Chimney saga.  The chimney is complete and the scaffolding is gone!  So pleased.  I am jumping backwards and forwards between tasks now.

Purchased the wood for the staircase - needs sanding, attaching and staining.  Getting the right colour may prove difficult, but it is on the way!

Repositioning the washing machine into the bathroom.  Have bought the doors to go on the cupboard.  Will look at staining them - every small step is a step in the right direction to the job being done!

Painted the wood outside of the garden room, now need to paint the inside, but have misplaced the paint!  I wanted the Sandtex exterior masonry paint in cornish cream, which is really yellow.  Want a warm bright colour, preferably not white, but if I can't find the Sandtex, then Duxux Weathershield in white it will have to be.  I have no plans to buy more paint when I have so much which can be used for this job.  Hoping it is down south, so will collect that in a couple of weeks.  Means I can't tile the floor, but one thing at a time, I have lots of things to do.

    All good!

Rang BG today and managed to speak to a human!  So shocked!  Anyway, they have booked another appointment to come and look at the meter as it doesn't give them readings.  Waste of time and effort, but happy for them to try again.

Also gave them a reading and they confirmed I am currently £400 ish in credit on my electric.  Great news, so not as concerned about my future bill now, as I am clearly managing to build a buffer before winter.

Managed to stock up on wood as well, so if cold, I can use the open fire.  Just need to fill the coal bunker and I will be on the way to being warm for winter whatever happens.

NSD's are going out the window, but spends are controlled and budgeted for.

I need to get my paperwork to the Accountant, but I have plenty of time to do that.

Everything ok at present.  Still trying to pay down the mortgage, no concerns at present.  More concerned that the interest rates will be astronomical when I come to renew my fix next spring.  The less I owe, the lower the interest paid.  Currently paying around £105 in interest per month.  Looking forward to being sub £100.

The most glorious news!!  My neighbours are finally moving.  They have listed their house!  I feel the need to party!!!  Suddenly, the sun is brighter than normal, the grass is greener and the sea is a fantastic shade of blue.  The flowers are beautiful and the bees are fatter and happier.  All is good in the world!

    🤣🥳🤣🥳

I so get this - 3 doors away from us (we live in a curvy cul de sac) are on rhe market - we've never gelled with them (most people havent)  since they moved in about 9 years ago -   they're brash and loud and into flashy cars and designer labels and parties with cars blocking everywhere (curvy cul de sac = limited parking) - can't wait until they actually sell!

Something has gone wrong with my footer!  Somehow, it is showing the mortgage as £42,700.  Oh well, in March.  Oh well, I have lost April and May's total so will re-set for June.  Still good news when looked at from where I was last June.  I will try to reset it.

The running make £2022 in 2022 figure has gone, as has my current footer song.  Clearly, the site has re-loaded my footer from a previous backup and lost the current information.

No worries, the birds sound beautiful today!
