Hi all, my brother is a self employed painter and decorator and wants examples of personal accident insurance policies and premiums. Where best should he start looking? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

personal accident protection is rubbish. It is a cash cow. As the initials of the plan suggest, it is PAP.
He would be better off with permanent health insurance (PHI). That is proper income protection, underwritten to his circumstances. Which will be best will depend on a range of things including his budget as there are generally three levels of cover with PHI. Plus different companies target different age groups and occupations. Then you have the differences betwen the companies in how they look at sickness and accidents.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
What dunstonh didn't say is that he should find an independent financial advisor to do the leg work for him.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
