Hi, I thought I'd reply as loads have viewed but no ideas yet. Team building in a family unit could be difficult as you have the stroppy teenagers problem. How about looking for somewhere to travel to that is near a forest or similar. Get everyone to take turns to map read (Ordnance Survey maps) to find your way around the forest (set a minimum distance for the day). When you get to your finishing point, have a family bbq (if the forest regulations allow) to celebrate your achievement.0

what about geocaching ? I've not tried it myself but there have been a few threads on the subject on this board in the past.0

Celtic Harmony Camp which is an ironage experience have family and coporate team building days. It would be a couple of hours drive from somewhere like Coventry in the West Midlands. This is the coporate link but they do family days as well, where you learn about Archery, cook over an open fire etc.

try a treasure trail - I have done a couple with my children and grandchildren and also a visiting friend - who also did it with her friend. They are great for almost any place in Britain, finding out the history of a place and getting more out of where you visit than just visiting and wandering around.
My friend told me that when she took her friend to a place he thought he knew well, he was amazed at how little he actually knew.
Just Google treasure trails and pick the place you want to go, they include murder mysteries, spy trails etc. etc.
We loved the ones we done and it is a very interesting way to see wherever you go.0
