Hi Guys
Hope you can help my hubby.
He bought a van a couple of weeks ago (cash and deposit on credit card) and its developed a fault.
He had the AA out to it twice when the fault developed so he could establish the problem and the seller got the van back last Thursday night. They agreed on the Friday what the fault is and agreed to fix. ETA - large dealership, not private sale.
Forward to today and they are very sorry but it will take a week to get the part, so will possibly get the van back this Friday (so over a week without transport) He asked re a courtesy car but they said their liability ends at repairing the vehicle.
Any helpful thoughts on this?
Im not sure over a week is 'reasonable' especially given its a new van with minute mileage on the clock and its four months old.

What does the warranty documentation say?0 -
Hi Wealdrom
Yes the van is being repaired at the dealership where it was bought - its a Vauxhall van.
I'm not sure re the warranty docs, will get my hubby to dig them out - I am of course presuming hes read them! But perhaps not....
I just feel a week is a long time to get a part (an oxygen sensor) and that's why they should help but that may be more a moral and wishful rather than legal thing.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0
