Hi
Desperately need some advice please as cant seem to find anything relevant.
I attended a workshop in June from which i signed up (& paid in full as it was a lower price to do this) to enroll on the 6 month course. It was verbally discussed what we would receive on the course etc & paperwork would follow. After having very little contact from the provider and only receiving an email with a payment receipt, no paperwork, 3 weeks before the course is due to start i have had an email with details stating that i have to pay for own accommodation now which was not mentioned before. Had no response to first email, second email was answered by a call with a voicemail saying sorry if i mislead you regarding accommodation, that was something only done for the first 2 courses. I cannot afford to pay out 2 lots of £300. Do I have any rights to cancel & get refund.... they have said no refund allowed.
Many thanks in advance

Any terms and conditions on their website (I am assuming that they have one!) to look at?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Thanks for your reply. Yes they do have a website but there are no terms and conditions on there!0

What made you think accommodation was included?0

Perhaps because it was included in the first two training courses and as this one was the same price(?) the op assumed accommodation was included? (see initial post!)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I guess what I was getting at was the OP says it was verbally discussed what would be included, so was accommodation discussed at all? Was there anything in writing at all that suggested accommodation was included (course literature etc).0 -
Until we actually know something about this training course it's pretty difficult to give any meaningful advice.
We have no idea what the course is, what sort of organisation is running it, why there's a need for accommodation, for how long ...0 -
What is the website?
It wont let me put a link in as I am a new user
so i'll try this way it is

Thanks for all your replies, I kept the original post short as requested in the rules so sorry for any confusion. The course is a 6 month course to becoma a specialiist coach in M.E, fybromyalgia & CFS. I would have to attend 2 x 3 days initially far from where i live & at the Workshop I attended, it was stated verbally that accommodation was included at the hotel where the course is held. Now i am told that this was only applicable for the first couple of courses that they ran. We were told that paperwork would be forwarded after payment had been processed (which it wasn't) &I signed was the credit card instruction. This is not uncommon in the alternative therapist sector but I have never experienced such poor communication & backtracking as this ever. I just simply cannot afford to pay out for accommodation on top of the huge fee already paid as it was supposedly included. Thanks again for all your replies.0 -
If you were quoted this verbally, then yes you can back out, the difficulty might be in proving it, or getting them to release you without court case. Have you explained the situation to them?
Incidentally what price did you pay and which course is it?0 -

Thank you.
It is to become a specialist coach in M.E etc... & the course was nearly £3000.0
