MSE News: An anatomy of banks: When Martin Lewis met Barclays

I joined Barclays inadvertently when they bought The Woolwich. I had a normal current account but it was made very clear that after years with The Woolwich, I had to start all over again credit rating wise with Barclays as I was a 'new customer'.
Every time I see a personal advisor they try to sell me insurance or something else in spite of my protestations that I have a strict budget to keep to, and am not interested.
I have finally gotten sick of Barclays, and will be opening another account with another bank. Barclays can offer me very little.0 -

I would suggest you get credit reports from the CRAs to see if there is a CIFA registered. If you have done nothing wrong, it suggests your identity has been used by someone else.
I would get onto this as soon as possible.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
