I've been driving/maintaining cars for best part of 40 years and never changed brake fluid unless I was replacing a component. Never had a problem and it's unnecessary to change it just for the sake of it imho.0 -
I DIY it all...All my vehicles Lawnmowers to Tractors Old or newish it doesn't Matter. I keep the receipts and keep a log of what a vehicles had and when. All decent bits are used aswell often genuine as I wont entertain Chinese specials..0

Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air over time, drastically reducing it's boiling point. Boiling brake fluid = no brakes.
It really has to be done ever 2 years for safety's sake!0 -
