Closing an old joint current account

Hi all,
I've been helping OH sort out his finances as he's never accessed his credit record or really paid much attention. He is very financially responsible, no debt, uses his credit card every couple of months and pays it off, etc etc, but he is RUBBISH at keeping tabs on things or opening his mail!
I made him access his credit report this month as I had a sneaking suspicion he was still financially linked to his ex. Lo and behold, they still have a joint current account open with Halifax.
He has no documentation regarding this account and has no contact with his ex. It doesn't look like she's using it either, or not the overdraft at any rate. How does he go about closing this or getting his name removed?
Thanks for any advice,
Dreamer x

Contact Halifax would be a good start.... They will be able to match his details up to the account.
If they will not close it (might need both to agree) Make sure he gets it frozen as a joint account dispute to stop any usage....Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
