In the past I have found a damp cloth with a sprinkling of bicarb of soda is a good way of getting it off without wrecking the paint.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

I'm an ICT Tech' at a school, and we have to remove felt tip pen scribbles from LCD monitors. Some of our pupils have yet to get their lentil-sized brains around the concept of the keyboard.
We write over the marks with the non-permanent whiteboard pens. Then you can magically rub off both. It can take a couple of applications.A cream cleaner did the trick (it was called Jif then, but has since changed its name to Cif I think)
