Left handed tin opener

DD off to uni and I need one. Just looked on Amazon and they are just over £10 with postage and no reviews.
At home she manages with us opening tins if there is no ring pull as she just can't work my butterfly one.
I bought a top opening lift off one suitable for left or right handers ages ago but it's useless.
Any recommendations?

A better lift-off one? There are wide variations in style and design - even Electic ones that only need a lever pushed down to start the process.
It remains imperative that the user themselves uses it to see if it fits the bill as buying a 'lefty' device is no guarantee of satisfaction!0 -
I have a Culinare Magican and whilst I'm not left handed, my niece (who is) told me it was great for her - so I bought her one! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Culinare-CN0001-magican-boxed/dp/B0000CC4W0/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1376951212&sr=8-7&keywords=can+opener0

I'm left handed and I have one similar to the Magican in the previous post and use it with no problem.
P.S. the Magican is cheaper on the Tesco website :-)0 -
Okay I will order the magician. Thanks

I am left handed and ended up giving up and getting a cheap electric one, as it was hard work keep getting the correct one out (and sods law said you can only find the "other hand" one when you need it ) as only I am left handed in our house - £10 electric one, job done and suits both left handed and right handed0

isn't opening tins a pretty simple task that can be done via the wrong hand?0

I had two magican tin openers and both I had to throw away. What happened in both instances, I just opened a tin and in order to bin the lid, you pull apart the handles. They got stuck. I asked two strong men - dad and a friend's dh to see if they can move the handles. Unable to.
I have an electric Kenwood tin opener as I am useless with tin openers.0 -
What next, left handed toilet paper?0

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

My left handed son just uses a normal one, it's a bit trickier for him but not really a problem.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
