Yet, credit increase after 4 months.

Just got my limit increased from £200 to £450 in four months with capital one classic card. I know it's still small but after poor history and declined for everything last year, I've had an increase in a short time and accepted for asda card. With £950 starting limit.
Dies this mean my credit report is improving then?

It would certainly suggest it's not getting any worse.

But remember your credit file is whatever any given lender wants to make of it - they may like squeaky clean full payers, they may like those who have the odd hiccup, they may like the financially inept so they can make money from charges.

All you can do is operate your accounts in accordance with the t&cs and pay as little interest and charges as you can.

Well if you are paying on time and in full will only improve your credit file. It will only get worse if you bad things like miss payments.
  • I really hope it's onwards and upwards from here on. If it stays this way I'm hoping I have a shot at a mortgage this time next year. Is two credit cards , a next account as well as mobile contracts enough to show I'm responsible and credit worthy? I have had the mobiles for several years and the next account and cards just the last 5 months or so.
