Ice has a greater volume than the same mass (weight) of water. It is the only substance known that occupies more space as a solid than as a liquid. I can explain why, but unless you're a real old nerd like me, it will be boring.

Just goes to prove you don't often get marketing people with science knowledge.............. Wouldn't waste my time arguing with them though, same with a lot of the beauty 'tips' I read from magazine marketeers - utter rubbish lots of them - the worst 'flick your eyes in talcum powder before applying mascara' !!!!!!!! Sorry shouldn't rant here, I'm off to give myself a slap :eek:
