Include Car Benefit in Child Tax Credit Calculator?

Hello all

First Post here so please go easy on me!

I'm looking at claiming Child Tax Credit for my child

(Married with one child)

I receive a Cash Allowance every month from my employee for Car Benefit (£400 a month)

Because this is a benefit i wondered if i need to include this in my total earning for the year or is it based purely on my salary?????

Hope this makes any sort of sense.

Most car allowances are income as taxed. How does your employer use your CA? do you pay tax and NI on it?

We take the full amount of the following types of income into account when we work out how much tax credits to pay.
