Terrified and about to start IVF

Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place so please let me know if not.

My husband and I are about to start IVF treatment and I'm feeling very down and confused by it all (not an awful lot has been explained to us). If any has any tips/experience to share I would love to hear them.

Hi Wonder Woman. There's a thread on here entitled "the trials and tribulations of trying to conceive when it's just not happening" lots of people on there who have been through ivf, and a girl currently going through it at the moment. You will get lots and lots of support and info if you post on there

I've just been referred for ivf. It's daunting isn't it? Wishing you the best of luck xxx

Not at the IVF stage just yet, but there are people in various stages of treatment on the The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Conceive when its just not happening (12m+) thread and they're all lovely. It's worth a lurk, even if you don't want to post.

Thank you both, I will definitely take a look. It is very scary but I think a big part of that is the unknown too. Whattodonow, feel free to PM me if you ever want to chat I don't know why but I've assumed your female too!

As the others have said, get yourself over to the thread mentioned, it's brilliant

There's a lot of us going through/have recently gone through IVF on there and it's soooo great to be able to chat to people who know what you're talking about.

Hi, just wanted to say Good Luck on your journey, I have wonderful 6 year old twin boys, proof that IVF does work:)

Being truthful, as someone who went through 5 attempts and many years of upset,torment and very low times etc.... It is hard and gets harder but it makes you stronger, together.
