Orlando Park Tickets

Hi
Looking for a bit of advice re. Park tickets for the Orlando theme parks.
Mainly buying in advance versus buying on the day?
We are a family of 4 (kids are 4 and 7) and we are hoping to go next year for 2 weeks - last week of May and 1st week of June.
I know the Disney tickets bought in the UK are for 14 days unlimited etc but don't need that, same with Universal.
We are likely to visit Magic Kingdom twice, Animal Kingdom and Disney Studios (will be giving Epcot a miss), plus Sea World and Universal Islands of Adventure (will be giving Universal Studios a miss). Will also be going to one of the Disney water parks, so we wont need the 14 days unlimited.
Any advice and/or guidance would be most appreciated.

You don't have to buy 14 day Disney tickets. You can buy shorter duration ones. It will work out much cheaper if you buy them here. A day pass for Magic Kingdom on it's own is currently $95 for an adult. Universal is $84 per adult.
There are lots of ticket sellers to choose from, they all have special offers on at some stage, keep checking their websites. I've used Undercover Tourist and Attraction Tickets Direct and i've also bought through Travel City Direct.0 -
If you know you definitely don't want to park hop and you don't want to go to the water parks etc, then you can definitely save by buying Magic Your Way base tickets, which are available for purchase on the gate.
Current (2013) prices for 4 day base ticket is $274 for adults/$254 children age 3-9 (about £182/£169 at $1.5/£1) as opposed to £248/£228 for the UK 7 day premium ticket, saving a family of 2A/2C around £250
Adding water parks to MYW tickets is an additional $60pp, (which would give you up to 4 visits) or you can buy just One-Day/One-Park Admission to either waterpark on the gate, currently $59 Adult (10+), $50 Child (3-9) .
Single day tickets to SeaWorld are currently $87/$79 Adult/child on the gate.
IIRC a 2 park ticket to include Aquatica is available but I can't find the $.
From the UK you can buy a 14 day 2 park ticket for £90/£84Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
