Is it me? I feel like ranting, any advice would be appreciated: I have applied for 2 of Martins Credit card "best buys" (amex and sainsburys) and have been turned down for both. I have absolutly no debt and use my store cards etc wisely to "make money" which is what I hoped to do with the credit card. Over 10 years ago I went to uni(rather late in life) and did the BVC which meant I was in debt (about 12000) I never had a problem getting a credit card then! I believe that they only give credit cards to people from whom they are going to get money (ie those who do not pay off in full each month and therefore not incur interest) please accept my apologies for the lenth of this mail, but would be keen to know if anyone agrees with me or could advise me how I could get a cashback credit card without first incurring a big debt! Looking forward to hearing from you's thankyou

I would get get a copy of your credit rating from experian to see if all is correct. Are you on the electoral roll? Have you moved recently? All this and more can affect your rating..
