Giving prizes as Xmas/Birthday gifts

I recently won £500 to spend in John Lewis (awaiting vouchers) which Im going to use to buy Xmas gifts for, as well as my Amazon vouchers, boots vouchers I get from SB, VO, Dooyoo, Im hoping most of not all of my Xmas presents will be done with vouchers or by wins, my family and friends know I do this, if anything I think they are quite envious I do it because they spend money on things whereas I don't!:money::rotfl::T0

I am 'comping for Christmas' too.....however, at this rate, I won't have anything to give!! (Lady Luck isn't on my side at the moment).
As for telling people. I will most likely tell them its a win .... depends on what it is I guess. I am being really tight this year with a 15 pound budget on everyone (I have 20+ people to buy for and my maternity pay disappears around xmas time). So obviously, if everyone received mediocre gifts then someone else received a brand new designer watch for example, I'd have to tell them it was a win. I think they would be grateful anyway and wouldn't mind the fact that I hadn't spent my own money on it. If anything, I think the others would be jealous!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I always give wins for Xmas and birthdays and have had a few say "oh have you won it"... I then just take a mental note and next time they can have a fiver in their card instead! Lol, ungrateful!!Thanks to all those fab compers who post:j:T0
