Unfortunately going at peak times means huge queues. We have been towards the end of the season and been able to stay on rides as long as we wanted. I would never go in August!

Unfortunately alot of people don't have a choice. Legoland is an overnight stay for us and I am I not allowed to take ds out of school otherwise I get fined. I know what you mean though we went just before he started school in term time, no queues even on the best rides and you could stay on the smaller ones. We went back a few months ago (weekend) and it was horrendous even the smaller rides you had to queue for and the bigger ones it was an hour wait, I said never again but ds is already asking when he can go back

We do not take the children out of school either, just make sure it is a weekend either at the beginning or end of the season. Or go on a teacher training day. Although we are lucky to only be a couple of hours away.

If we did have to stay I would drive after work/school on a Friday so we were there for the Sat morning.

I would not go after school on a fri as I like to make the most of it as I am paying for an overnight stay and go somewhere the day before as well, but we could stay sat night legoland on sunday and back late sunday night. Next time I will time it at end of season Thanks.
