return to work credit problems

im wondering if anyone has been on the return to work credit. I was on it for 2 months, then told i was earning too much and taken off it. Im on a zero hours contract, so my monthly wage varies from 800-1300. I was told that as long as you earned less than 15.000 a year you would qualify, but now they are saying its 1250.per month or 288.44 per week. I am well under the 15.000 deadline they first mentiond. Has anybody else had this problem

£1250 a month is £15000 a year, it may well be because you say you could earn up to £1300 a month which exceeds the allowed amount.CashBack earned to date - £1244-580 -

You need to formally appeal this decision.
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/86757/response/213350/attach/html/4/FOI%202806%20RTWC%20Guidance.pdf.html - see 73.73. In some cases and depending on the type of work, the hours to be worked
may vary from week to week. If this is the case, a pattern of hours must be
established in order that hours can be averaged before a decision on
eligibility can be made. The claimant should be able to provide confirmation
from the employer of the number of hours they will be expected to work each
week. This may include known overtime on a regular basis. If a pattern of
hours can be established, the hours can then be averaged.
I can see - in the regulations quoted - no reason that someone who has a varying income should not be able to get it - even if the income varies over 15000/12.
However - if come the end of the 12 month period - you have earned over 15000 - there will have been an overpayment - and you will need to return the credit.
If it is reasonable that you're not going to earn 15K per year - appeal!0
