Which Way to hang Doors

Surely 90 deg is adequate for practically all normal purposes? Leaving room in the hall for several doors, especially large ones, all to open outwards might be even more of a problem.
The living room door is half way along the 24" living room wall, so it opens 180 degrees. Because of other things in the room (fireplace etc) it makes it very awkward to get past a (2 seater) sofa because of the swing needed.
Ditto the kitchen diner door - it's in the only place it can be, half way along the wall. It has a 180 degree swing into the dining room.
If the doors opened into the hall they would only have a 90 degree swing, but as there's nothing in the way in the hall at all, it wouldn't be an issue, and would give a lot more space in the other rooms.
None of the doors would open into each other as they're widely spaced in the hall.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I'm probably being really thick here but why will they only open 90 degrees if they are put to open into the hall. I've just had a look at our doors and my husbands put most of them to open onto a wall, we were lucky that we had to do the electrics anyway. There are two that open into the hall, the bathroom one and the door from the kitchen to the hall. The kitchen one is because there is another door from the utility room which would crash into it.0
