LG washer dryer new vs refurbished

Options
In the market for washer dryer, seen model we like LG (F1480YD5) in silver to match surrounding units

Main requirement is takes large load (8kg+) and has quick wash function around 30mins similar to our current washer dryer also an LG (8 years old) but which is now leaking

Curry's dont have this model available for delivery until end of Aug but search online showed reputable retailer has in stock refurb model on eBay for £399 vs £599 (Currys) and comes with 12month warranty

Simple question is it worth the risk buying a refurb model which according to their description is new condition but may have minor cosmetic blemish. Dont have any problem buying off eBay since have done so countless times without any major issue

Would like to hear if anyone has purchased refurb item like a washing machine and how they got on with it and whether its a risk worth taking

We're reluctant to wait until end of this month since need the washer dryer now

Had a look at other brands AEG Bosch Electrolux but the LG appears solidly built and aesthetically very pleasing to the eye and menu options straight forward to operate

Any advice / comment is appreciated

Be aware that Currys often get the manufacturers to supply them with machines with a slightly different part number to make it difficult to price check against others. Sometimes the trim level will be different but essentially it'll be the same machine as sold elsewhere.

AEG are good, as are the non budget Bosch machines. LG are good, too. Also worth considering the own brand John Lewis machines as they come with a free 3 year warranty and are made by a well known manufacturer..

I recently bought a Samsung as it had a free 5 year parts and labour warranty. So far very happy with it..
