Dent in car today, Chipsaway?

My 6 week old car managed to gain a dent today, from a metal hanging rail falling into it.
At first I thought one of those suction pads might work but it's on a more 'solid' panel than the main wings, it's just to the right of the rear lights, half way up.
I've contacted a few local guys that were recommended as car repairers, but they're all too busy and said I need a 'dent man' but I can't find one.
Not sure if places like Chipsaway are really expensive?
What would anyone recommend as the cheapest option?
Thanks

I used them a few years ago to get rid of a patch of rust.Don't think they were mega cheap, but they came to the house n did a good job:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

just reading up on paintless dent removal and companies that do it, it's way more expensive than I thought. I thought I'd just get one of those suction tools and sorted! I might have to just leave it, which is really sad for my poor little car0

I used Chipsaway a few years ago and was very pleased with he result. Most of the local bodyshops wanted to replace whole panels but this guy spent a few hours on my driveway and did a great repair at a fraction of the price.
He works independently now but is still in business so must be doing something right! Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I know exactly how you feel.
My car has a coule of 'wounds' too.
The suction-tool gizmo is great on dents in the middle of panels - but doesn't work near edges or fold-seams.0 -
If you can't get the panel out with a suction tool, try drilling a small hole and put a screw or nut & bolt, something you use to grip with strong pliers to pull.
It might seem extreme but if you were going to finish off with a thin fibreglass coat, you fill the hole at the same time.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I guess that's the kind of thing a body shop would do. I think I'm going to have to live with my dent, too expensive to fix and there's no paint damage, so just cosmetic.0 -
I've used paintless dent removal & had an excellent result, much cheaper than painting a panel too. My impression is that they can do dents up to the size of a fist.
Where are you based?0 -
Yeh I've looked up all the people that do the paintless dent removal in my area. Still thinking about it. With no access to the back of panel, I'm doing a bit more research first.0

Inflatable pads? Like little sponges. Cannot think where i spotted them for sale but they are available.
Stuff them up into the panel and very slowly inflate, Warming the panel with a hairdryer to prevent the pait cracking and help it return to its original shape may help if its cooler weather.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
