He has been given a computer for uni and it has been preloaded with about 1500 books in the mobi format. So , it seems like a great resource and is the reason he has decided he now wants a kindle.

I have reserved a kindle with a case with a light at Argos. I got a something else to take it to just over £100, so the cover was only a fiver if I use the Telegraph voucher. I'll ask him when he gets in. Thanks for the suggestion.0 -

Don't forget to tell him about the sites with free books:
https://www.kuforum.co.uk
https://www.ereaderiq.co.uk
Books are often only available for the one day, so if he sees something that he wants to read, it's best to download it there and then, in case it becomes a charged for title the next day.
Incidentally, I had a Kindle keyboard and now have a Paperwhite, and I prefer the Paperwhite.0
