Apart from sight there's no such current thing as a disabled register, and hasn't been for a number of years. Blind and partially sighted are as far as I'm aware the only group of people that any local authority MUST provide and maintain a register for.
Many or all local authorities have a non-statutory register along DDA lines for learning disability registration requirements. Its voluntary, and usually overseen by the NHS. This disabled register may well contain thousands of now older legacy names, but did not then, and does not now constitute a 'disabled register'.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. mrsyardbroom. Remember that if someone is on Assistance Allowance they will be older so will qualify under Chronic health or over age 62 as long as their household income is less than the cut off ( £16,190). Also if someone is on DLA and has an income higher than the threshold they will not qualify.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0
