Great attitude, but sounds like you've had a tough day?
And you've paid a bit more off your debt looking at your sig...sneaky but fantastic
Come on pay day. I can't wait to see you get there. :j
Hope DD has managed ok with you away and the break up. DS shows no sign of an interest in girls. They're all silly according to him and he's sooo mature (not) :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

I don't know what it was which prompted you to post that Skinny but I am very sorry that somebody has been a big numpty.
I love the statement though and it's worth printing off and pinning over my desk! Very useful particularly at work.
Ali......DS is right....girls are silly....even grown up ones. They're very nice to talk to though :rotfl:!!

Thank for your comments Ali and Brogden. I won't divulge the details but some-ones behavior left me feeling very raw emotionally, however that was a few days ago and time is a great healer. Big numpty sums them up very well :rotfl:
Ali my DS doesn't show much interest in girls either, I think he's put off by all the hassle his mates go through with their girl friends!
A very frugal week as I was working away most of it, also most unexpectedly HMRC refunded me £48 as I'd paid too much tax, so that has reduced my final payment by a little, well spotted Ali!
DD is in a much better place now, it took her 2 days to get over ex, and is enjoying the single life and her new job, so all good on that front.
Today I will get some stuff listed on fleabay and make a new video. Also need to stock take freezer, meal plan and go shopping. But in the mean time DS and his friend are cooking me a full english, which I'm going to stay in bed for.

Yay to HMRC refund, always a special treat when something comes from them...but then realise it was YOUR money to start with!
Really pleased to hear DD doing well and as for your DS... an astute young man there
Enjoy tucking into your Full English :T

Yes I must remember that Ali, I'm so grateful when I get a refund from HMRC I forget it was actually my hard earned cash to start with!
I had a day off today and filled it pretty well. Went to see a business mentor for my PT business, he's very motivational and even better it's free courtesy of the local council
We were doing cashflow today, surprisingly (not) I've never actually done one before! I am now the proud owner of a business cashflow forecast, it looks a bit scarey to me
I took DD in for her brace adjusted, only a few more months and it'll be off. The trip did incur a maccers breafast each though, and no employee discount any more
I've had a quote for a new kitchen and bathroom for when I finally move back into my own house...
The kitchen I'm doing on a budget, I'm going to paint all the doors 'contemporary cream' as they are solid oak, although 16 years old so a bit tatty, and then replace all the work tops, tiles, sink, dishwasher, oven and hob. The total cost being £2681. Which I think will look pretty smart, like a new kitchen at a fraction of the cost, I should be able to save up to have that done this year
The bathroom, needs completely gutting, replastering and everything replacing, so that's coming in at well over £4k even for the basics, however it would make a huge difference, and to have both done is well under what I paid off my debts last year (£10k), but this time I WILL SAVE UP and pay with hard earned cash.
DD phoned me up this afternoon, distraught as what she thought was extra money in her bank was actually in the red, and she's had a load of bank charges. She was so mad that they let her use her debit card when there was no money in there (she has plenty of savings in another account) Any way she sounded off at me, like it's my fault!! Hopefully there's a lesson learned there.
I've made some easter videos and uploaded them to YT, probably a bit late really as it takes the search engines several weeks to index them properly, but they'll be there for next year anyway.
And of course, like a big elephant sitting down the bottom of the garden, my debt free day is within arms reach, just 7 days left to go. It all seems a bit surreal!Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Not a bad weekend, in a spendy thrifty kind of way!! I did spend £26.50 on clothes, which includes 2 gap tops, 3 long tall sally tops plus a LTS jacket and a lovely cardigan, and a leather handbag all from the local charity shop or ebay. So that should keep me going for a little while.
I've sold some perfume and make up on fleabay tonight for £13.89, so that offsets my clothes splurg to £12.61 :T
I didn't spend much on food, as I'm away 3 days this week, so will save the shopping until I get back. I see Sbobs has a double nectar event on, which I think turns my £10.57 or nectar points in to £21.14 and I have a voucher for £2.25 for a spend over £15, so that's potentially quite a saving, if only I cold work out how much!! I'll be straight on to that when I get back.
Today saw a successful 28 mile bike ride with my friend, it was a beautiful day. We're training for a 100km ride in May
DS has dropped his phone and smashed it to bits :mad::mad: what is it with kids and phones? It has prompted him to apply for a pot washing job and a local pub though :rotfl:

Great haul on the clothes and bag :T
You've just put my 10km exercise bike mileage to shame with your bike ride :rotfl: but wow, 100km event sounds brilliant.
Oh no on DS's phone - perhaps he needs a break-proof case for it? Wouldn't give DS his without one. Mind you I'm the more clumsy one

Hey Ali :hello: I don't think I could do 10k on an exercise bike, I'd get bored and give up after a few minutes I need the wind in my hair and a couple of mates to egg me on, with the promise of a downhill round the next corner!
Spent LOADS, £70 on new phone for DS and £20 on an indestructible case. £40 on 2 hours of maths tutoring, £35 on football training fees, that's £165. I have £16.97 left until payday on Friday, fingers crossed I can make it to work and back twice with the fuel I have left.
DS hates his new phone case, apparently its uncool :rotfl:
The clothes I bought on Ebay arrived, hate them all, what a waste. Oh well I'm going to relist them individually and see if I can get my money back.
All that and having a cold, well this week's just a bit pants really. Good job I'll be debt free in less than 48 hours :TPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Roll on 48 hours time :j:j
:rotfl: It is boring on the exercise bike, so I have tv remote in one hand and mobile phone texting away with the otherBottle of water within reach and I'm all good until about 10km..it's a slog after that.
Better superglue the case to DS's phone thendoesn't sound like it'll stay on long otherwise!
Funny you mention Maths tutoring...I think DS might need some, he just cannot get algebraic (sp?) fractions multiplication and division (neither can I but then I don't need it :rotfl:) and a little discussion about that tonight.
Seems a conspiracy for a high spend week - mine was this week tooHope you make at least your money back on the eBay stuff. That'd be a help.

Well that's me done. Logging on to my bank account this morning at 5.30am, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning looking to see if Santa had been. Payday finally came and the final debt installment has been made.
I'm off to see what being debt free really feels like, I will report back later...Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022
