Hi guys,
I have writen an ebook which I would like to put up for sale. I have written a one page sales letter and npw need to figure out how to get te sales letter unto a 1 page website.
Is there any way I can look at the HTML code on other sales letter pages already on the net? Also once I have the code sorted (presumably I can just do this all on say notepad?) how do I then FTP it unto the site to get the page live.
Any help appreciated
Thx

To FTP, use a package such as SmartFTP. To write the html page, notepad will do but you will find it easier with a html package such as Dreamweaver or one of the many other packages.0 -
Thanks Wonga.
I was hoping that I would be able to just use the HTML code myself and wouldn't need to buy a package, given that its just a simple one page sales letter that I am attempting to create.
Is there any way to FTP it without investing in an FTP package? Also if I do need to invest in something to FTP the code how much is the package likely to cost? Finally....once have done some html code on say notepad how do I actually then view what I would look like on the net?
Thx again for your help.0 -
Pythagorous, do you have a domain name and webspace already?0

SmartFTP is free (for 30 days) so no investment there. There are probably free html editors around, but you can use notepad if you are happy coding html. If you need a domain name and/or hosting, PM me.0 -
SmartFTP is free, and there are many other free ones. You could also use Windows Explorer.
To view the page on your own machine, save it as a .htm or .html file then in Internet Explorer click File - Open and browse to the file. There is Nvu, a free html editor.0 -
thx everyone - yes I have the domain and webspace already/0

Pythagorous, just use FileZilla for your FTP needs. FileZilla is the favourite program among the FTP community 'cos it's open source and 'cos it's as good as the top paid FTP clients. Also, there are a wealth of tutorials out there on how to do FTP things (uploading files to web space, setting up an ftp server, etc) with FileZilla. The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0

Right click, view source normally works.Pythagorous wrote: »Hi guys,

If you're just doing a one off upload, why not use the ftp client built into windows:
