Hi,I contacted hsbc in regard to ppi.
The sent back a letter with two ppi policy numbers and dates and to make a long story short have given me an address to write to if I feel I want to complain.
I'm obviously owed money as it went back to Jan 2000!
I just have no idea how much I'm owed or what to do now any advise would be fantastic
Thank you all :)

You need to complete the FOS questionnaire and send it to HSBC, make a copy in case it goes to FOS.
Look on the links below for reasons for mis sell and the FOS questionnaire.

You need to have reasons for mis sell, just because you had it, does not mean you were mis sold, if the PPI on your loans was added to the total loan amount, this would be Single Premium PPI, a loan on the loan that you repaid to term end with interest, this is a reason you could use.

Do you have any documentation regarding these loans if HSBC reject your complaint because they have no records for these other than the years and the policy numbers?, 2000 was a long time ago and they may not have any other details.
