Yeah, we've got the candles and torches ready just in case. It's supposed to be at it's worst during the morning commute on Monday though. My first day back since my op and the weather is going to be FOUL! lol

Thanks Sue - don't think I will manage many entries but will get an odd one in.

Hope things will be OK for your family Sylvia.

This storm must be a bit of a worry. Hope everyone will be OK. Hopefully we are too far north to be affected much and we are heading further north tomorrow.
We are having roast chicken tonight at DDs request.
Forgot to say DH had a free chocolate Baileys in the post so I have claimed that .

Well done sheils for grabbing the Baileys :T:T

Must admit, getting rather worried about storm news now ...... just seen about it on main news - now they are saying it is serious :( Jings, I gotta get out tomorrow and move anything that could be shifted/lifted by gales/smashed into things. Alfie will be busy :(

Will do the best I can and paws crossed that Mother Nature will be kind to me and everyone else in the areas that will/may be hit. xxx

Yep me to euro - cant help thinking back all those years ago of that dreadful storm. Worst we had ever encountered. Anyhow, best to be prepared, I'm still hoping it will pass by :p Got me storm lanterns out, recharged all torches, candles etc - just in case :p

They are saying at present that Monday commute will be v difficult re weather conditions - you take care now and to all who are travelling/commuting xxxxx

I was only 5 then, but I can still remember walking with my mother as the storm was just starting to pick up. The winds were so strong, I thought that I would be carried off! And then I remember there being a big tree lying on top of a car, near our local shops the next day. And Sevenoaks had seven oaks no longer :(

Thanks for the reminder to check the batteries in the torches! We do have a couple of wind up ones, but best to check the others just in case.

I will be fortunate enough to get a lift to work on Monday, and it's not a long distance. If the power goes down, they'll probably close the office anyway.

Stay safe everyone! Make sure your laptops/ipads/phones etc are fully charged so you have some entertainment if power does go down! xxxx

Hope everyone will manage with the storm OK. I remember thinking I would be able to comp OK when we had a power cut and then realising the WIFI needed electricity!

Just won a packet of crisps on the Walkers Comp. Had been thinking that there were only vouchers to win. It hasn't been a very exciting comp has it?

Shiels - yeah, the walkers one has been very disappointing. Well done on winning the crisps though! I've only ever had the discount offers, so that's good going in my eyes! :)

Ha! Even as a five year old, I was a heavy sleeper. I slept through the worst of it! lol

I have to have the torches powered up cos if electric goes, in early hours, and I am finding me way around, I would hate to tread on me cat!!!! She is dark coloured and hard to see in the dark and I guess she would not be best pleased if I tripped over her/trod on her tail !!!:p xxx
