Glad you managed to out wit your visitor FF! I used to have great fun with my Budgie when I was young. He couldn't fly very well but always liked to be with me. He would peck at my pen when I was doing my homework and perch on my mug to stop me drinking so that he got all the attention. He could talk and do tricks too. Got another when he died but it wasn't the same.

Great to know you have had a lovely time Alfie.

Don't watch Emmerdale Sylvia but will be watching Corrie on plus one as DH is watching Watchdog just now. I am finding it a bit depressing though to be honest.

might be tempted to get one of my own now

always remember my old nana used to have a budgie & it used to sit on granddad's shoulder when she served up the meals & it used to fly down onto his plate & nibble at the dinner :eek:
nana used to go bonkers & tell him off but granddad used to just sit there saying 'oh shut up moaning woman' :eek::rotfl:
must be admitting I wouldn't fancy having them in the kitchen, I keep the doors closed to kitchen & other rooms so it can only go on it's cage & play table,

haven't seen ILC's about alfie, she usually visits the LOL cats thread but not been on there either! hope she's ok x

firefly - that would be lovely getting a parrot. I think you would enjoy having one as your obviously lovely birds. Why not give it a go?

Just briefly ...... loving that you are bird sitting ff Wonderful intelligent creatures - used to bird sit parrot yonks ago and it would chat away and loved a cuddle and stroke - wise old bird Could talk for great britain and I had to be careful what i said else it would copy me :eek::rotfl::rotfl: Would love one meself but think puddy would not be so pleased :eek::eek:

Where is my meow pal then?? Hope you is ok ILC? Did you win the euro last night and you is not telling us :eek::eek::eek:

DH has enjoyed talking to it as well so hopefully will be looking into it all soon :j
could be a bit awkward for you alfie if you did decide to get one & your puddys not used to having other pets around :eek:

- Yep ff - you is right ........ puddy rules the roost round here (if she can get away with it :rotfl::rotfl:), love her to bits - her n me are soul companions However, looking forward to hearing all your news if you adopt a lovely feathered friend :A :T:T xxx

I popped in earlier but didn't get chance to post as I was in a rush!

Aw, fire**fly....I bet it was lovely having a parrot around....I said I bet it was lovely having a parrot around! (Sorry...couldn't resist! ) I do love parrots though. I always wanted one as a child but dad only had parakeets, cockatiels, budgies, qails and love birds Our house cockatiel Percy, was tame though and could talk a bit and whistle lovely tunes. He liked mash potato too!

Glad you're having a nice time with the family Alfie I'm sure ILC will be along soon!

I watched emmerdale too Sylvia! It was exciting and I don't normally watch it but last few weeks have been tuning in!

Any luck with the instants Sheils? I think I tagged you in a couple today. I saw them on someone else's fb page and I didn't know there were that many instants!

Euro, I know someone mentioned on fb that they had an email to say they won then another email to say they had made a mistake and they hadn't won!

I've just checked my lotto, none of my numbers have come up but not bothered to check the raffle numbers. Probably got more chance of becoming pope!

I won a lipstick on the instants yesterday and I did win a meal for two on the Novotel Comp but don't think we will be able to use it and you can't give it to anyone else as you need ID etc. Was trying to win a night away as we don't have one anywhere near us. Will have another try tomorrow!
