The Comper's Inn part 42

Hi all!
ff - you is ahead of me - haven't cleaned bird feeders yet - must do them this week and bird baths etc!!!
Have a lonesome gay pigeon in the garden now looking for its mate (many years together) and still trying to nest buildThink it was its companion that smashed into me bedroom window - was found by neighbours out front a few days later
. Not seen its pal now for few weeks so guess that was the one and they were always together, like a couple of book ends.
Sylv - yep - gave decorating a rest yesterday as it was such a beautiful warm sunny day and spent hours out in the garden :j
Got my lawns mowed - had to do them twice as so long but got there in the end and looking fairly decent now. Also concentrated on front garden re edging, pruning, weeding etc. Love being outside in me garden
Just about managed to stay awake to watch xf, then went up to bed not long after 9pm ..... exhausted but very happy with my days work.
Got bit of pruning to do - low level - in back, edging, weeding etc then that is me more or less done. Going to use pressure water hose thing on patio and couple of paths also just to clean them up a bit.
Off to garden centre in few days to purchase some winter flowering plants for my many patio tubs and also tubs out front - various selection on me list but can't resist pansies - tough little critters!
Love to see colour in me gardens through the winter :j
ILC - those 'collars - or flower pots' as we call them here for furry critters bring back a lot of memories  Dogs, cats ........ Puddy was the worst patient after being errm 'done' ..... she hated wearing the flower pot but was necessary til op scar healed.
Eventually, when given the all clear and collar was taken off, she spent hour upon hour cleaning herself, lounging around and making the most!!!
Wingo - hope Jasper is ok? xx
Love n luck to all xxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -

:beer:We need to Pool our wins in the Inn, so us less fortunate ones get a look in!:rotfl::beer:
I had a Iceland fish voucher that expired before I thought about it, as been using Ocado. (as free delivery)
Wired doorbell went & paw Meow jumped out of skin!
(little sports bag win came from August)
Compo's really are a stitch in time (saves nine), just three hot-uk pages to catch-up today TG (plus weeklies/few dailies/instants)
Thats a good idea about the wins, why didn't I think of that :rotfl:
Don't know how you manage to remember which ones you have done using two comping sites, I just stick to here.
Love Icelands fish, there were extra pieces in the cod as well today so a good bargain. Well stocked up on it now for a while.
Love the dog pic this morning too.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Ding Dong!!!!! (Can't say that without laughing and thinking of actor Leslie Phillips!). Glad you got your doorbell working now! Is it wired*** as opposed to wireless? Can't recall now what you were going for? I still have my wireless one and is ok for the mo - wish I could find the instructions to change the tune though - not sure what I did when changing the battery but oooooooooh - at the mo sounds like doorbell at the house of dracula!!!! Spooky :eek::eek:
Well done on your sports bag delivery:T:T - sorry, missed that first time round. xxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
AB: Now a wee wired one. (New push, ole loud bell)
Previously: plug-in wireless bell, where thy push would only work if pushed in the right manner:eek:
(Not thy Battery as 100% full)
It's like my toilet, most guests struggle to flush it but I have the knack
(I always think of Only Fools Horses where they abandoned Albert and the toilet chain)
Sylvia: I jot down the ones where I may dupe myself, mainly the weeklies.
Iceland £6 Salmon is nice. Sometimes they give 25% extra white fish.0 -
Well done on the sports bag win ILC :j Love the dog pic!The kids were asking of jasper would have to wear a lamp shade on his head too!
You've been really busy today fire**fly! :A Hope you've found time for yourself to comp
Hiya walwin  hope you've caught up with everything
Sheils, I expect you'll be there by now and wining and diningHave fun!
Well done on the win ellemm and congrats to the kids getting through to street dance finals :T
Alfie, you must be shattered after all that DIY and gardening you've done! No wonder you fell asleep last night! It's been lovely weather here too but still not managed to get my grass cut yet!
Sylvia, what a great gran you are having all the GK's over all the time :A Hope you enjoy your weekend with your DS & family
Jasper is trying to be his normal self but there is clearly something wrong with his paw or maybe hip. We can't take back him to vets till wed as we're working but he doesn't seem in pain, only hobbling about.
While I was at work today DD was sick in school and although I changed contact details to DH's mum with my mum being ill, the school still phoned my mum & dad. I can't take my phone to school while working so DD ended up at mums! She is feeling much better now though, I think the school trip tomorrow may have something to do with it!)
No wins for me again! Still waiting on Percy Jackson goodie bag win. May chase that up.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: At toilet!!! Snap - have the same issues - I know what I am doing but others get errm rather flushed re the workings or not as the case may be!!
Luckily had a spare doorbell thing (wireless) as had to replace the first one due to a plonker (Only Fools And Horses) trashing it. But why do the posties (if they need me, though usually to take in stuff for neighbours) ring the bell, then feel the need to bang hard on the glass on the door!!!!! The dracula chimes can be clearly heard all around the house and probably half way down the lane!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl:
Hi wingo, our posts just crossed. Hugs to all - don't go worrying about cutting your grass - you are busy enough as it is! If I lived near you I would come and do your garden for you. Alas to many miles 'tween us xxxxx

Aw Alfie, that's a lovely thought! :A I'm fine really, just having a lil moan and not got round to doing it yet! Not enough hours on the day!
I told my son to be in by 6.30 as it gets dark early and he's not yet in! Looks like someone is going to be grounded!(I should change his name to Easyjet!
