Promise to be careful :A's.
Engaging me brain when up the ladder to concentrate and remembering to hang on tightly ....... much prefer it though when painting at lower level
Should have lined the carp wall really, where everything was taken out - would have got it done much quickerThought it was lookiing ok but in daylight ....... still needs going over again!!! ....... Size of kitchen is diminishing due to so many coats of paint  :rotfl::rotfl:
Well ... the weather it is changing ........ come over awful dark, rain etc and wind is picking up!! Storm approaching?
Still, at least I can't be lured out into the garden and can crack on in the kitchen
Got some nice egg shell white to use on woodwork (though bit of preparation required!). Have used it on other parts of house and much prefer it to yon high gloss white paint - seems to stay looking fairly decent over time and I love the finish:T
ff - no birdies here ......... they are all taking shelter and keeping low profile!!! Moggie scrap this morning in courtyard but even they have disappeared now ..... off home to send up zzzzz's no doubt!!

Afternoon all
Just got back from gymnastics with the girls and they've got their pj's on now as we got soaked coming home! Son has just come in soaked through too after footie match but he's not bothered as they won!
Sounds like kitchen is coming on lovely AlfieI'm sure you've got the next project ready after this too!
I checked previous pics on kids laptop that has Kaspersky but it seemed fine on thereSometimes I can't tell if pics are too big that I post on iPad as they show up the same.
Have a safe journey Sheils and hope you and hubby come back all refreshed after the spa
Good luck for next weeks J/S SylviaHope you get an early finish!
Your DH's son sounds just like my bro fire**fly! He can never settle for long! He would spend all his wages at one point on gambling so dad had to meet him from work and take his wages from him! My elder bro has been in bad health all his life and had a kidney transplant off other bro but other bro also likes to drink heavy and he seems to need more looking after than bro in ill health!I think the fact that he works hard is keeping him alive!
Well done on the food & drink festival win :j I must have missed you mention that one
I watched two of my fave films last night on tv, I Am Legend and The Green Mile. Love them films! I noticed Paper Moon (an old B&W film) is on this week too, must catch that.
Bingo tonight with mum & sis. She goes to hospital thurs on her bday to see Dr and she needs a scan this week to see if chemo working so fingers crossed. She is well in herself though, happy and eating ok now and she's looking forward to getting to bingo!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Afternoon everyone
I had a nice day at the boot sales despite the weather I got - 5 DVDs for £2 in total (all new and sealed), some toiletries for 20p each (all new) and two cushions for £1 (to replace the ones I used for camping as, after 8 years, the insides had split and they were no longer comfortable).
I'm all prepared for the arrival of the new students tomorrow and getting to work earlier than usual as I've been getting up before 6am for the last few mornings and I've already made my lunch for tomorrow, done the ironing for the week and packed everything in my bagNow it's time to catch up with comps and X Factor.

Hi Paadzer, you seem nice and organised. Hope all goes well at work next week.
Wingo - hope you have a good night at bingo with Sister and Mam and hope you win big. Sounds good to me to be in PJ's, it always feels more cosy this weather somehow.
DD1 + SIL +2 of the GK's came and took me to McD's as they thought it would be easier there trying to keep the kids occupied with the weather the way it is. Had some nice chicken strips and a sneaky McFlurry as well. It was nice to get out for a bit.
Alfie - I like the egg shell as well but it doesn't fair very well on the stair rails that seem to need the high gloss, but like it for the skirting boards. We really could do with doing our kitchen soon, its just the thought of starting that puts me off. Daren't let OH get hold of the paint brush though as he forgets that he shouldn't paint the carpet :rotfl:
Got Lottie a nice new fluffy toy last week, it had 8 different squeaky things in it. She has systematically killed all the squeaks and picked all the fluff off it all over the carpet. We have had to hide it but wherever we hide it shell smells it out and barks until we give it her. We will have to bin it when she is out. That's another £6 down the drain :rotfl:
Must get on and get organised for tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone, I haven't been in here for a while so thought it would be nice to poke my head round the door!
Just caught up on the comping after having a lovely home-made lasagne!
Both the wife and myself are on RED ALERT:eek::eek: because she is 38+2 weeks pregnant and she is having 'twinges' down below, and has terrible backache/mood swings, so not long before our first born arrives into this world0 -

Hi Tornadoman, nice to see you in the Inn, just want to wish your wife a safe delivery of your first born. Do you know if it is going to be a boy or girl? Should you not be getting her to the hospital by now or is it a home birth? Anyway, do pop in the Inn and let us know when you little one has arrived so we can congratulate you both. Good luck. Sheils: hope you have a nice time. Your DH might be a bit

Hi lomaxsylvia. Thank you for your nice message, our first born is a boy and is called Alfie James.....or AJ for shortShe will be going in hospital, but not until the contractions are every 5 minutes or so. Nothing is happening at the moment regarding it being that regular. We both just cant wait for him to appear, although a little nervous!
