could be a simple stat problem or it may have 2 compressors and 1 has gone duff.
(some of the larger fridge/freezers have 2 motors).
is it not still under a warranty?
    Get some gorm.

had exactly the same problem last week. Have an american style samsung fridge freezer and the fridge packed up but the freezer was still working. Got someone to look at it and it had an ice build up around the fan bit, they got to it through the back panel on the inside of the fridge. They just got a hairdryer on it and it now works a treat. It is supposed to be frost free but apparently that does not mean ice free (? !!)

I have now turned my fridge up a couple of degrees as I think I had it too cold at 1 degree.

frost free are notorious for this! First port of call- try defrosting it for a minimum of 36 hours ( if you don't fancy the hair dryer route), plug out, door ajar. Then turn it back on and hopefully it will get back down to temp. The cold air from your fridge is blown from freezer ( in lay mans terms!!) so if the back of the freezer is clogged with ice ( you wont be able to see it) it cant circulate the cold air into the fridge.
Frost free manufacturers now recommend defrosting frost free fridge freezers as a matter of course every 12-18 mths as this is such a common fault!

I did end up defrosting it for 24 hours then turned it back on and its working!!I seriously didn't know i had to do this until a friend told me.I thought frost free meant it didn't need defrosting. Thanks for all the advice though peeps:beer:
