I claimed back PPI from Fiat Finance for my daughter. When she got her first job as a teacher she bought her first car on finance. She was basically bullied into taking out PPI even though she told them that she gets paid for 6 months as a teacher. I completed the documentation from MSE and sent it to Fiat Finance who said that it wasn't their responsibility, it is the responsibility of the car showroom who sold the policy. Is this correct?

Yes. Whoever sold you the policy is the person you complain to. If it was prior to 2005 they weren't regulated either.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Yes it is correct. Fiat Finance never once spoke to her. So, you cannot make allegations to them that their staff did. The car dealer has the liability (assuming post January 2005).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
