RR well done to your DD!
Camelot, big hugs, hope they didn't leave to much mess and you are ok!
BB we got a book from the library years ago by Jan De Vries to look into treating psoriasis and arthritis for my dad, he couldn't eat raw veg so we started juicing, and it helped DDs skin, diet included no citrus, no pig type foods, and if I remember no dairy, might be worth a look in the library.

Its been piddling down for hours here, oh joy, DS and his friends are off to a gig in a local park later which is guaranteed to be a mud bath! I shouldn't really be surprised, its the world pipe band championships here this weekend and its always pouring down for it!
DD and boyfriend still in bed, no doubt will surface and head out later. Don't think I will be venturing far, although could do with some fruit and veg, will see what the weather does!
    Have a good day all

I'm having probs with my laptop, so can't get online much.
Hugs to Camelot, Molly & LW.
Some of hubby's family have unfriended me on Facebook, there was a BBQ on the Sunday just after I was released from hospital. They have taken umbrage with our refusal to attend, god give me strength! I don't care & hubby doesn't realise, so good luck to them.
    Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone from a very wet & windy Cornwall

After an absolutely glorious day yesterday, when we visited The Lizard Point, and walked all the way down and some way along the costal path each way, then climbed back up to the village. Think we did enough as Skye is very happily sleeping today away after getting soaked for her morning constitutional with DH :D:o

RR & SC Congrats to your DD's on their results ( and anyone else's DD/DS's

Camelot The scumbags, hope you are OK and sell soon.

Tru just go on strike! Hope you are feeling better now.

HH Did DH not tell them what had happened? Idiots, not worth friending.

Tonight is scheduled for a combined BBQ followed by a Quiz Night in. the Marquee, think the former will be foregone unless it dries up PDQ.

DS & F are down about 20 miles from here for a friends wedding, in church, and then in a field in a Marquee. He was out this morning buying Wellies. I feel for the couple, as it is very grey and wet, not forgetting windy.

LW take it easy thus weekend.

((Hugs)), Spoons & Positive Vibes all round. DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Hello all
Congratulations to all the a-level resulters!

Been back at work yesterday and today - very busy and now I'm knackered! Catching up on 10 days work is a bit much!!
Anyway off tomorrow, so looking forward to that. We got 3 of our posters framed and hung up yesterday, got 3 more to do tonight.

I ordered some nail polishes from Models Own 11 days ago, and because I spent over £25 (their polishes are my weakness!) I got a free nail art kit. Well my order arrived today - 1 of the polishes and the free gift. I'm missing a whole polish box set. Not happy. I've emailed and tweeted them so hopefully I'll get it soon....

Having pasta and salad for tea tonight, and need to take some chicken out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner.
Hoping the weather clears up because I need to finish weeding the garden!
I also hope I don't find any more dead mice on the lawn courtesy of next doors cats.... Think we need to invest in a super soaker!
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j

    Evening all,

a quick and late visit from me tonight ive had a strange day. Hubby wanted to see baby Grandson last week and my daughter said she would pop up to see him. She came to see me in the week but of course hubby was at work. Things cropped up at home, tiredness/visitors etc meant that she didn't pop back so she arranged to come round this morning.

I got an early morning text saying that Lucas had woke up every couple of hours in the night and she was knackered so could we come to her but she was going out at 1pm. Something to do with a barbecue they had been invited to. Her Fiance was at work but she'd arranged to meet him there.

This meant I needed to get hubby out of bed. It was the first lie in he'd had for weeks due to working weekends and he was as grumpy as heck. So here was I, messages flying back and forth to my daughter and having to put up with hubbys whinging about being tired.

There I was trying to fit in with my daughter and hubby too and it wasn't working very well. I tried to postpone the visit till tomorrow but she wanted us to come today and hubby wanted to go today.

The plan was to go grocery shopping after our visit but hubby wanted some fuel and I wanted to go to Debenh*ms. Then he wanted some boots for work. However, he's particular on the boots he buys. Obviously they have to be steel toe capped for 'health and safety' regs but the list of other requirements is getting longer by the year.

We never did get to go shopping. By the time we got back I was done in. It hadn't helped that i'd eaten nothing before we went out and I fell asleep for a couple of hours. I'm still pretty knackered.

Middle son came tonight for a shower.... apparently the shower isn't working at his flat. Hes left me a small pile of washing.

Hubby is moaning cause he's walked off with his lighter.

So, ive shut myself away for the evening.

I haven't read the rest of todays posts as i'm in a bit of rush to get myself sorted though a quick scan over the page informs me that Camelot has been burgled. Sending my best to you Camelot and I hope they catch the lowlife that has taken your possessions. You know some people really don't deserve to breathe the same air as decent law abiding people do they?

Anyway, so much for my quick visit. I'll stop a little longer to digest the posts tomorrow I promise.

    Sleep well all.

Jools..........Thank You. I am allergic to pork so I don't eat any pork products. I am also diabetic so juices are a big no no and vegetable juices make me feel sick. :( I have osteoarthritis also known as wear and tear arthritis and diet is not a crucial factor as it is with Rheumatoid arthritis.

Hester what a selfish, narrow minded bunch especially as they knew that you were ill. Oh well makes for a cheaper Christmas ;)
