Moving a heavy washing machine

Squirt some Fairy liquid under the feet. So long as the floor is smooth it will just slide out, with a tug. Same method for putting it back.
However, make sure you don't slip on it!!0 -
Dont think they want it just slipping out at WAIST HEIGHT...Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Ah....yes...I see the problem!0 -
You could always ask the people who did this, how they did it:0

Hee, hee - I wouldn't want to be using that loo, especially when the machine was on the spin cycle!
We got the guys who were moving us in to put our w/m in the cupboard (after having taken it up 3 flights - well done boys but sadly they aren't around to help us this time).
We don't have any muscly help nearby and as mentioned we probably won't be able to lower it to the floor because of the connections.
I think we might have to fashion a makeshift stand. Ho, hum off to the laundarette tomorrow - can't wait any longer while OH tries to figure it out. Typical my LO chose today to wet her bed!We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
An update - opened up the filter today, found some odds and ends. Great problem solved, put a wash on.
Water starts dripping out, OH decides has to be fixed there and then and uses our wheelie bin to support the machine.
Hose and pipes all fine, its coming from somewhere internally. Repairman will have to come out. Not sure what he is going to think of our wheelie bin support table! We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Using a wheelie bin is a great idea as long as the machine is not on the lid as it will probably damage it!
If the lid is flipped back, balancing the machine on the open bin rim should be fairly stable.
It should be easy to move around tooIf my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -

Repairman came today, didn't seem at all fazed by our makeshift wheelie bin bench.
Unfortunately is RIP for the machine tho. 11 years of otherwise great service can't be too bad.
Now anyone got access to the Which Best Buys - looking for the same great service from its replacement ....We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0
