As already explained I am merely noting what appears to be a loose cog in the system. Had I fraudulent intent I would get the card and buy shares with it.0

Have you considered not being a lying toerag in the first place?
If you do get caught kiss goodbye to any kind of credit in the future.
There is no way an unemployed person would be getting £12k limits on 0% anyway.
If you were on £35k and a new customer the chance of you getting a £12k limit is slim to zero. My wife makes twice that and an impeccable credit rating and very little in terms of credit commitments and is rarely offered more than £7-8k initial limit.Thinking critically since 1996....0

If people are going to carry on accusing the 'toerag' of pondering fraud here I'll abandon this thread to somewhere I can get straight facts without standing accused of indictable crimes.
Something Corporate, you have no idea who I am and no right to judge me.
For the last time, merely because I have realise a possible loophole in the system does not imply I have anything but transparent intentions. The list of info they have is there for all to see.

If you don't want people to judge, possibly not best to post on an open forum for all to see....the chance you take.
No helping by asking questions like:
"This is a flaw in credit checking isn't it; should I tell them my salary is £35,000 (when I'm a mere student not working) how would they know any better?"
 and also

 "What data do we hold?
The detailsof applications our members receive for products such as mortgages, credit cards, loans etc. The information that is held relates only to applications made to our member organisations, and consists only of the application information supplied by the applicant(s)."
so, salary information provided by the applicant.0

There might be a loose cog in the system as you may suggest - I would suggest the system is robust enough to find you out should you go ahead with an application stating a salary of £35k per annum when you have no salary.grandplonker wrote: »As already explained I am merely noting what appears to be a loose cog in the system. If you want to test the system go ahead!0
