Hello,

Have incorporated an Ltd with companies house online, the bank want the certificate of incorporation to open a business account. I have logged in and looked around but the only reference to this certificate I can find is to "re-order paper certificate of incorporation" of which there are some rules, one of them is that they don't do it if it's 3 months past the date of incorporation, which it is for us. Also, we never received any certificate or incorporation, just the Company Authentication Code in the mail.

If you go to the webcheck site and look for our business name you do get the option to order:

"NEWINC: CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION
GENERAL COMPANY DETAILS & STATEMENTS OF;
OFFICERS, CAPITAL & SHAREHOLDINGS, GUARANTEE, COMPLIANCE
MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION"

You can order this for £1.00. This is fine I can go ahead and do that if this is what the bank need (they offer no details on that), is this what I should be ordering?

The thing that makes me confused is that there seems to be no way to order this when logged in myself as the business on the companies house website, however when any tom !!!!!! or harry goes to the webcheck service site they can order this certificate.. ?

Is this normal? Should I order from webcheck?

Would appreciate advice on this, thanks!

    You can download the certificate from your account log in, the £1 one does it too. I must say thet the CHOL system is usually reserved for agents.

    Failing that and it does sound that you may be slightly consused with navigation system, call their help line. Give them you company number and they will give you the purchase options.

    So many go online believing its the cheap way, but end up missing such important docs from the midi file.

    Are you sure co house didn't email it to you along with their confirmation of it being formed? They don't send paper ones through the post when you form electronically - you print it out yourself.

    You need to use the Certificate Ordering Service.
    http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/about/miscellaneous/paperIncorporationCertificates.shtml

    I suggest giving them a call, as CHDS is a subscription service.
