What do these levels numbers mean? Headlights

Have a look in your handbook - they will be different levels (angles) for the headlights depending on the loading of the interior of the car.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Pointing to the ground or pointing in the air...set it depending on the load in the car. I assume few people change it when passengers jump in the back on the way back from somewhere such as a pub and the driver is offering a lift. Not exactly the first thing I'd think of checking.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thanks will check on my handbook0

Too high and it could dazzle other road users, too low and not see too far ahead, you can see the difference if you park up in front of a wall or a garage door at night and move the wheel.0

Good point, thats not something I've thought of changing in the past with passengers in the car or anything thats heavy.0 -
Standard position with no load in the car should be zero.0

set to and leave at 0. assuming that the beam is set correctly, it can be an MOT failure if you present the vehicle with it set at anything other then 0.0

Eh.... How can it fail for having the dial not on zero?
As long as the lights pass the test you can have it on 4 if you want. You may have some heavy shopping or a toolbox in the boot when the MOT is done.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I've looked it up a few times but always forget. Best thing to do is when you're in traffic create a 1 car gap between you and the car in front, and adjust the headlights so the top of the beam is around the other cars number plate level. You just want to set it so that the light doesn't beam straight into the other cars rear view mirror. and dazzle incoming vehicles.0

0 is always the highest point of the beam image, the numbers after that lower the light image down in increments.0
