Annoying mouse noise

This has been bothering me for a while now.
Whilst reading or respondiing to posts on these boards (and some other sites but NOT all!) I get a whooshing sound from the mouse after the normal click.
As I like to listen to music when reading and replying on here its getting a bit on my nerves.
I have looked at Start - Control Panel - Mouse - but cannot find anything to change the noise that a mouse makes.
Anybody else got this please?
Running Windows XP - Service pack 2 with all updates downloaded automatically.
Thanks for any information of how to get rid of this.

Have you tried Start > Control Panel > Sounds Tab.
Go through the list pressing play on the items and you will find which one is doing it. Then just select None underneath if you want to cancel that sound.0 -

Your a genius! Cheers mate.
It was the ''Windows Feed discovered'' chime that was doing it.
Now the music sounds great again!.0
