Hi,

During the last week of July my husband was of work so decided to drop my son to school as we were in the middle of a mini heat wave. He received 4 parking tickets for that week. 52JM - Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicles (motor vehicles).

We have been living at our current address for 13 + years. The council (Ealing) have decided that no one can enter the the side road which we use all the time between the hours of 8am to 9am.

They wrote a letter last year to say they were considering turning it into a one way system, but all the local residence appealed and it never happened.

To be honest I have never noticed the signs or when they went up until now (Nov 2012). They want us drive past our house, join the main traffic which is horrendous because of the bus lane, sit and add to the already heavy congestion and take the ridiculously long way around to get home.

My husband is adamant he is not going to pay, i have appealed but that has been refused. We can't afford to pay the discounted rate of £260 let alone the £540. I don't know what to do, there is no way to speak to anyone or set up a payment plan.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Please don't ignore this, your husband's stance will have bailiffs at the door and they will clamp and tow your vehicle/s . I would advise posting this on https://www.pepipoo.com as well they are the experts on council penalty charge notices.

They will need to see both sides of your PCNs so scan it in or photo it and upload the redacted images to tinypic or photobucket. Just post links to your new thread on the council section of the forum.
