I think brickwork can look lovely deprnding on the brick and the quality of the pointing. Sometimes all it needs to make it look great is a coat of paint.

I think blocks are best concealed - I have seen some un-rendered industrial buildings, or block repairs taht look shockingly poor.

I've been to Norfolk/Suffolk and pastel coloured rendering can look amazing!

I think you should have been provided with an EPC for each altenative so you could compare costs.

And i think we have yet to understand all the forms that energy may take so 'ghosts' and 'fairies' and 'ESP' probably have a logical explanation.
