There's no time limit but the older it is the less likely there are records so you'll need your own, and some firms weren't regulated prior to Janaury 2005 [ car dealers, first plus, welcome finance etc]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

You have three years from receiving a CCL letter. (letter telling you that you have had PPI).
The only other issue is how long ago it was. As you go back further in time, the chances documentation no longer exists becomes a possibility and eventually a probability to a certainty it wont.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
