Settled debts removed from report when?

  • Well, if you've made an agreement you need to keep paying. Just because a debt isn't shown on your file doesn't mean it doesn't exist and can't be enforced.

Well, you need to think long term how to deal with it. Even when gone from your credit file, the DCA could still go to court if you stop paying.

Do you think you will ever be in a position to pay it all off?

Options could vary from doing a lump sum settlement if you can scrape an amount together, right through to doing a debt Relief Order or bankruptcy to get rid of it altogether.

What sort of debt is it and when was the account first taken out? have you asked arrow for copy agreements etc if a consumer credit debt?

You would be best starting your own thread on the DFW board giving as much detail as you can.

What is odd is that defaults drop off your credit report even if still outstanding. But that's the way it works.
