recycling clothes

hi can anyone help me please, i recently recycled 25 kgs of old clothes, i looked up companies online and found one with the best price and ordered a sack they came and collected my sack and took a lot longer than advertised to sort it, they then gave me my price which i excepted, i had provided my bank details to recieive payment again got an email saying this would take longer than stated on their site, i rang them wed chasing up my money and now according to them i missed 2 numbers off my sort code and so therefore wont get my payment and have now lost all the money, they say its stated in their t&c's, their website does'nt state things fully like that it would take longer to process clothes and make payments but their email to me did do i have any rights ? does anyone know what i can do ? its not huge money but to me every penny counts

That doesn't sound right. Which company was it? I thought companies that bought clothes in this way usually paid cash, not via bank transfer?
