As you have now realised, no you don't log it as thats your posting pack ie the stuff you need to prepare to send out to others.

Just as a bit of clarification for anyone who may be invited to the Life of Mail survey. It is conducted by TNS Kantar, so the same people as the main survey.

This is from my email confirming a start date:

"As a Life of Mail panellist you record on our Postal Platform website all the mail that your household receives every fourth week. You also record what is done with the mail item and what actions household members take over the following three weeks as a result of receiving that mail. The week before you start we will send you a “how to” guide with more detail about what our panellists do. On XX we will send you the login details for your account on the Postal Platform.

In return for your participation you will receive £10 of Love2shop vouchers every month that you are active on the panel and we will send you the first vouchers in April. We will also include you in our monthly prize draws."

Doesn't seem like a lot of work for the reward. Will not help in replenishing the stamp supply, but at least I got an invite for something :money:

Hi I got an email yesterday saying I am being rested. I have only been training for 3 weeks. Is this normal? Still got mail in my schedule to post. Thought I would be training 6 weeks at least before I got the dreaded Email!

Sounds like they are oversubscribed in your area, it is common & do expect an email saying you are coming back on but don't get a pack, as has been said many times their organisation is very poor. Keep posting any items in packs you receive on the requested days.

Thanks for that. Why do they start you on training if they are oversubscribed?

who knows, I don't know what rotations they work on I don't believe everyone starts and finishes in an area at the same time so they must need some contingency but why do they tell you that you are going on the live panel then not send any posting packs or tell you your time is coming to an end imminently but keep sending you packs to post beyond that date.
quite simply they couldn't organise a !!!! up in a brewery so don't lose any sleep on it

I haven't posted before but have been doing the survey for a couple of years now.

A few weeks back I received an item where the R-number label had been stuck on the exterior of the back of the envelope!! Rather than on the A4 sheet...I thought 'Right, I'd better let TNS know so they can educate this person'. Sent an email with a couple of pics of the letter, carried on with the survey and thought no more about it.

A few days ago I got an email saying I had been removed from the survey as my address "may have been compromised..." Am SO annoyed :mad: Because someone can't follow simple instructions I can't take part anymore!! Me and my conscientiousness...

So, my tip is if you think you're going to be helpful, don't bother!!

oh no MF thats awful & just the type of thing that I was trying to explain to them when they called me, I would be interested to know if they have removed the person who sent it to you as well, have you asked?

Best not to report anyone to TNS as they will probably always remove the reporter. I have always stayed silent when someone has clearly made a mistake when posting an item to me. I have now been on the survey for over 4 years. My latest 6-month stint will soon be ending.

I am afraid this is another example of TNS incompetence. If you search this forum, you wil see many other examples of people being removed from the survey after reporting incompetence.
